Constructed entirely of Carbon Fiber and
Aluminum, the SWISS-JIB is a lightweight, portable remote head
crane designed for set up by two people in under fifteen minutes.
Its modular design allows a minimum vertical reach of 9' to a
maximum of 42', yet its simplified design and fast locking systems
make this crane easy to assemble. The Swiss jib was invented by
a cinematographer and it is ideally suited for both motion picture
and video cameras.
The Swiss Jib’s carbon fiber construction
combines maximum stiffness with minimum weight, thereby diminishing
momentum when the arm is set in motion. This makes for easier
stops and starts allowing a more fluid, steadier shot. This type
of material and construction also makes the Swiss Jib easy to
transport and set-up.
Leveling rods are built onto each arm segments
giving the SWISS-JIB the smallest profile of any remote head crane.
